Walter P. Gray III Education Fund

The Walter P. Gray III Education Fund is administered by the Awards Committee and funds travel and registration for Workshops coordinated by the SCA Education Committee. All SCA members in good-standing who are students, self-employed, unemployed, or whose employers do not financially assist them with continuing education expenses may apply.

Up to $500 may be awarded per workshop.

Each candidate must submit a Gray Scholarship Application Form, including a proposed budget listing registration fees, travel expenses, and lodging, by the publicized deadline to be considered for the scholarship. The successful applicant must cover expenses that he or she incurs in excess of the award itself. Award recipients are not eligible to apply more than once within a calendar year. Unsuccessful applicants may apply for additional events within a calendar year, with no prejudice. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered for the scholarship. Awards Committee members are not eligible to apply.

Applications must be received by the Awards Committee by February 16, 2018 to be considered for attendance at the 2018 Annual General Meeting in Yosemite.

Please send completed application form to the Awards Committee Chair, Julie Graham, care of Mattie Taormina: <>
